1. Introduction on how we can make Holy water
There are many ways of making Holy water (Tirthā). They are:
- Holy water by adding Holy ash (Vibhūti) to water
- Holy water by charging water with chanting the Name of God
- Holy water by adding Holy earth (Holy earth refers to the earth from places where Saints of the highest order have lived.)
- Blessing water (This can only be done by a person above the spiritual level of 50%. Below this spiritual level a person has little or no ability to increase the Divine consciousness (Chaitanya) in the water.)
- Holy water by touch (i.e. when a Saint touches water)
In this section we will be explaining how to make Holy water by charging water through chanting the Name of God. Water can also be charged by the spiritual power of recitation of mantras, however this is beyond the scope of this article. Use of Holy water obtained by charging it with the positive energy from chanting the Name of God is a handy and effective spiritual healing remedy.
2. How to make Holy water by charging
For this you will require a glass of water. Begin with a prayer that your chanting of the Name of God happens with maximum possible concentration and devotion and that positive energy from the chanting enrich the water with Divine consciousness. Then place your right palm over the rim of the glass. Now close your eyes and chant the Name of God with maximum possible concentration and devotion for 3-6 minutes. After this the water is ready to be used as Holy water.
The drawing based on subtle-knowledge below shows what happens when a person of a minimum of 50% spiritual level spiritual charges water when chanting the Name of God.
The Divine consciousness generated from chanting the Name of God enters the water in the glass through the hand placed on the rim of the glass. The Divine consciousness enters the water in waves and a spiral of it is generated at the bottom of the glass of water. This is surrounded by Spiritual energy (Shakti). Thus the water in the glass is enriched by it. This Divine consciousness emanates in all directions from the glass.
The benefit from this Holy water depends on how much Divine consciousness has been generated. Hence the potency, i.e. the spiritual power in the Holy water (made by the above method) depends mainly upon the spiritual level of the person charging it. The higher the spiritual level of the person charging it, the higher the potency of the charged Holy water.
If the person charging the water is below the 50% spiritual level, the Holy water obtained by charging with chanting is not adequately spiritually potent. In such cases it is better to make Holy water by mixing Holy ash obtained from SSRF incense sticks. As more than 80% of the world’s population is below the 50% spiritual level, Holy water which is made from Holy ash is the most recommended way of making Holy water.
This charged Holy water can be used as a spiritual healing remedy for application, sprinkling and drinking.
