6. Ghosts (Negative energies) creating illusions

Ghosts can create illusions in order to be mistaken for a positive appearance, with the intention of misleading people or shaking their faith.

Subtle Sorcerer (Māntrik) in the form of the Sun Deity

This sorcerer appeared in the form of Sun Deity to mislead seekers into thinking a positive energy had manifested.

Common Ghost appearing in the form of a twig with eyes

This ghost appeared when the seeker was chanting the Name of Lord Ganesh. It appeared in the form of a twig with big eyes in the leaves. The ghost was creating an illusory scene to distract the seeker form her chanting.

Common Ghost appearing in the form of Lord Ganesh

This ghost appeared in the form of Lord Ganesh, a Superior Deity. However, soon spikes were visible on its trunk. The ghost was trying to reduce the faith of the seeker in Lord Ganesh by presenting a distorted picture. Also the sweet associated with the Deity, modak was distorted.

Common Ghosts appearing in the form of skulls

When a sacrificial fire was going on for the protection of seekers from negative energies in an SSRF Ashram in India, the seeker first saw rays coming in her direction from the sky. Then skulls appeared in the rays and were thrown in her direction. However, she was not scared.

Common Ghost appearing in the form of a lady

The seeker first saw the hair and forehead of a lady rising from the surface of water. When the entire face came up, she was startled to find a skull in place of the face.

Demon (Rākshas) distorting the shape of temple and idols

Here, the seeker first saw a temple of Deity Shiva with an idol of Nandi, the Holy bull. Soon it was distorted. This was to scare the seeker and reduce her faith in the Deity.

Common Ghost appearing in the form of distorted butterflies

The seeker first saw attractive shapes of butterflies in yellow colour on a black background. Then, the shape of eyes appeared on the forms of butterflies. This was followed by scary faces appearing in the forms of butterflies.

Common Ghost taking the form of a Saint

This ghost first appeared in the form of the face of a Saint who was helping protect SSRF's seekers form negative energies. However, as the seeker was about to pay obeisance, the face was distorted and was laughing at her.

Common Ghost taking the form of H.H. Dr. Athavale

The seeker first saw the face of H.H. Dr. Athavale. Within 3-4 seconds it was distorted. This was done to both scare the seeker and to reduce her faith in H.H. Dr. Athavale.

Common Ghost distorting the shape of Lord Ganesh

The ghost appeared in the form of Lord Ganesh. However, the form was black and like a demon.

Common Ghosts taking the form of flowers

These ghosts first appeared in the form of flowers. Then they changed their form to that of a spider and finally they revealed their actual form.
